Donald Lowell Bugg II
September 28, 1971 – March 21, 2025

The world lost a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll on March 21, 2025, when Don Bugg, a die-hard Alice Cooper fan, took his final bow in Newberry, Michigan. Born on September 28, 1971, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Don lived life with a passion for music, motorcycles, and making people laugh. If there was an Alice Cooper concert in Michigan (or within a reasonable road trip distance), you better believe Don was there—probably singing louder than the band.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Vercil Floyd Bugg and Daughter Tierney Lynn Bugg.

He was the beloved son of Shirley Ann Bugg and the proud father of Hayley Dawn Bugg. He is survived by his loving brother and sister Timothy Scranton and Tammy Ewers. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Steven Robinson III, William Morgis, Michael Morgis, and Evan Morgis, who will surely carry on his love for the Detroit Red Wings, the Lions (despite years of heartbreak), and his signature sense of humor.

A true friend to many, Don was a 16-year member of the American Legion, where he built lifelong friendships and shared countless stories—some true, some… let’s just say “embellished for entertainment purposes.”

Don had a need for speed, whether it was on a motorcycle, an e-bike, or a unicycle (yes, a unicycle—because why ride on two wheels when you can make life more interesting with one?). He had a unique talent for bringing joy to those around him, whether through his adventurous spirit or his well-timed jokes.

Though he has taken his final ride, Don’s memory will live on in every rev of an engine, every Red Wings goal, and every Alice Cooper guitar riff. In his honor, crank up the volume, take the scenic route, and never be afraid to be a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.

A gathering of family and friends celebrating the life of Don will be held at the American Legion Post #74 at a later date to be announced.
