Kim Daniel Fraser

Lifelong Newberry resident, Kim Daniel Fraser, 65, died Friday afternoon February 12, 2021 at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in Newberry. Born December 18, 1955 in Newberry, son of the late Daniel and Waneta (Kropp) Fraser, Kim was a graduate of Newberry High School. Kim was formerly employed as a truck driver for Zellar Trucking and later as a mechanic at Rahilly Motors both of Newberry.  Kim enjoyed riding his motorcycle and snowmobiling. Survivors include his fiancée Jill Bennett of Newberry and sister Shelly Fraser of Spring Lake, Michigan. Per his request, cremation services were accorded with no public services scheduled. Fredrick Schieding

Fredrick Schieding died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 12, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 80 years old. Fredrick was born on November 11, 1940 to Fredrick L. and Myrtle (Monk) Schieding in Newberry and moved to Lansing as a teenager. He worked as a Press Operator for Motor Wheel for 30 years. During his life, Fred enjoyed going to the casino, golfing, and bowling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Fredrick is survived by his daughter, Kristina Garner; sons, Kurt (Beth) Schieding and Jeff (Julia) Schieding; grandchildren, Travis Garner, Timmy Schieding, Emma Schieding, Joey Schieding, Shannon Abbott and Ashley (Teddy) Bodien; two great grandchildren, Sadie and Maximus Bodien; and two sisters, Peggy Schieding and Kathy Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Jimmy Bergman and Kenny Schieding. Memorial services are being planned to be held in Newberry, Michigan later this year.
