NEWBERRY, MI — The Tahquamenon Area Schools has issued the following statement:
On Wednesday, May 27, the Tahquamenon Area Schools became aware of allegations involving a middle school teacher’s conduct in the classroom. The district immediately began reviewing the matter in accordance with district policy. As part of that process, the district involved its school resource officer and local law enforcement.
Following the investigation, the teacher has resigned and is no longer employed by the district. Because this is a personnel matter, we cannot share further details at this time.
