Players from Newberry and Engadine were among those recognized when the 2025-26 Eastern Upper Peninsula All-Conference Boys Basketball Team was announced, highlighting several standout performances from local athletes during the winter season.

Leading the way locally was Logan Thiele of Newberry, who earned First Team All-Conference honors following an outstanding junior season for the Indians. Thiele averaged 18.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.7 assists per game, establishing himself as one of the conference’s most productive all-around players.

Also representing Newberry was Keegan Martin, a senior, who received Second Team All-Conference recognition for his contributions to the Indians during the season.

Engadine was also represented on the conference team as Coleman Loebach, a sophomore, earned Second Team All-Conference honors for the Eagles after a strong season on the court.

Conference-wide honors were led by Gunner Bennin of Pickford, who was named the Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference Player of the Year while also receiving Defensive Player of the Year recognition.

The all-conference selections cap another competitive season of boys basketball across the Eastern Upper Peninsula and recognize the top individual performers from throughout the conference.
