The Association of Consulting Foresters of America, Inc. (ACF) is pleased to announce that Gerald Grossman was honored with its 2023 President’s Award during the association’s national conference in Eugene, Oregon, earlier this month.
ACF is a national organization committed to serving independent consulting foresters who manage forests and market forest products for private woodland owners.
“I’m pleased to honor Jerry’s experience, accomplishments, and dedicated service with this award,” said Wayne Pfluger, President of ACF. “His proven leadership as well as passion for the association and consulting forester profession make him well deserving of this award.”
Grossman has a distinguished career in forestry, with over 35 years of experience working with various stakeholders. He is the founder and President of Grossman Forestry Company (GFCO), a full-service consulting firm in Newberry, MI, providing forestry services to landowners of all sizes. Grossman holds a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Michigan, M.S. in Forestry from Michigan State University, and an MBA in Marketing from Michigan State University. He is a Michigan Registered Forester and a Michigan Real Estate Associate Broker.
Grossman currently serves as Chair of ACF’s Government Relations Committee and on ACF’s Finance and Conservation Collaboration Committees. He was elected by his peers and served as ACF’s Northern Region Director from 2017 to 2020.
