Newberry played Bark River-Harris in High School Bowl and won by a score of 210-110. Thirty-six schools from the U.P. and Northern Wisconsin field teams for WNMU-TV’s High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 47 years on the air.
Newberry advanced to the second round and played Escanaba, scheduled to air on January 10. Running from November through the championship game in April, the High School Bowl series airs on
WNMU-TV Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Mondays at 3 p.m.
