Kadie Burton, 8, loves everything outside that has to do with water! From camping, kayaking, swimming, fishing, climbing waterfalls, or hiking to find the perfect view. Her mother says that’s why the Upper Peninsula is the perfect place for her!
There’s still time for youth to fill out and submit a survey detailing what they love to do outside, and what they’d like the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to help. Surveys are available at local outdoors shops and can be dropped off at the Newberry DNR Customer Service Center at 5100 M-123, Newberry. You can also take the survey online at bit.ly/DNRYouthSurvey (case sensitive).
All survey responders will be entered to win weekly and grand prizes of awesome outdoor gear!
As an option, include a photo of you or your youth enjoying the outdoors to be printed in the Newberry News!
