The Cox family, which is also active in the scouting community, likes to get outside no matter what season it is. Here, Thaddeus (5), Taliesan (14), Evelyn (12) and Tevye (9), are carrying impressive loads while on a backpacking trip in the woods. The family also enjoys snowshoeing and trail hiking adventures.

Pick up a survey at the Newberry DNR office, The Newberry News, and at local sporting goods stores to tell the DNR what you love to do outside. Return your completed survey to the Newberry DNR office, and each week, one youth will be selected from among the returned surveys to win awesome outdoor prizes. If you include a picture of yourself engaged in outdoor activities you enjoy, it will be printed in this Spotlight on Youth section of The Newberry News.
