1. Whitefish Point
Location: Near Paradise, Michigan

Why Visit: Known as the “migration funnel” of the Great Lakes, Whitefish Point extends into Lake Superior, creating a natural route for migrating birds. The Whitefish Point Bird Observatory (WPBO) conducts daily counts and offers observation platforms for visitors. Peak migration runs from September through November.

2. Seney National Wildlife Refuge
