Area youth: The Newberry Department of Natural Resources (DNR) office is launching the fourth survey to learn what youth enjoy outdoors and how the DNR can help. Survey results from previous years have guided us to provide two youth trapping workshops, one youth hunting workshop, and several “Wildlife Wednesday” programs so far.

We have been very pleased with the amount of participation we have received in previous years and are hopeful for more this year. If youth have participated in the past, they are welcome to do so again.

Youth who submit a survey will be in a drawing for prizes weekly as well as for one of our three grand prizes. Surveys can be submitted in person at the DNR office or emailed to sitark@michigan.gov. Folks can even text a picture of their completed survey to 906-287-0022. The sooner youth enter, the better their chances of being drawn for prizes!
