Margaret J. Stamper

Margaret Jean Stamper, 85, of Curtis, Michigan died May 9, 2026.

She was born March 23, 1941 in Homer, Michigan, a daughter of Harry and Lillian (Landeu) Lang.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Catherine Scarrow of McMillan, sons Russell Clute of Curtis, Charles Clute of McMillan, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister MaryAnn Catrell, brothers Morris (Claudia) Lang, Dan (Kaye) Lang and Brian (Connie) Lang.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Stamper, brothers Charles Lang, Roger Lang and John Lang.

Services will be held on May 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lakefield Community Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Kathryn “Kay” Letson
December 7, 1953 – May 14, 2026

With sad and broken hearts, we bid farewell to our daughter, Kathryn “Kay” Letson, 72, who passed away on May 14, 2026, at her home in Perris, California.

Kathryn “Kay” Letson was born December 7, 1953, in Manistique, Michigan, daughter of Richard and LaDonna (Beveridge) Letson. She was raised in Michigan, and later moved to California.

Kathryn attended Mueller Township and transferred to Doyal and on to Manistique High School, and then attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

Kathryn married Steven Parks on June 28, 1986, he preceded her in death.

Kathryn worked at the Marquette Alger Community Schools, then moved to California, where she worked in the office at Leisure World in Long Beach and later at Long Beach State College in administration, retiring after 32 years.

Kathryn enjoyed planting her garden with flowers and vegetables and refinishing furniture.

Kathryn is survived by her mother, LaDonna “Donna” Letson of Gulliver and her dog, Scruffy. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard; sister, Debra Letson and grandparents, Ford and Mary Beveridge, Albert and Josie Letson and Eirnel and Marie Blanchard.
