Annette Ruth Fair

Longtime Newberry resident, Annette Ruth Fair, 66, passed away Monday afternoon, March 31, 2025 in Newberry, Michigan. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Annette’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her.
Born September 11, 1958 in Carson City, daughter of Robert and Janet (Rowe) Fair, Annette was formerly employed as a custodian, which she took great pride in, at the Newberry Water and Light and later for the Michigan Department of Transportation until her retirement.
She is survived by her life partner, Larry Crossett; children Katherine Clark and Justin Clark; loving father Robert Fair of Shepherd, Michigan; siblings Greg (Elizabeth) Fair of Tecumseh, Michigan, Tim (Tracy) Fair of Shepherd, Michigan and Carolyn Hadley (James) of Gulfport, Mississippi; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends Lynn and Joe LaDuke.
Annette is preceded in death by her mother, Janet Fair; siblings Terry and Catherine; paternal grandparents R.J. “Ted” and Mary “Molly” Fair and maternal grandparents Charles “Norman” and Clara Fry.
A gathering of family of friends will take place Thursday April 10, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. A memorial service celebrating the life of Annette will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Melinda VanderSys officiating.
