Sharon Eiliene Evans
July 4, 1943 – December 9, 2023

Sharon Eiliene (Krol) Evans, 80, of Engadine, passed away Saturday evening, December 9, 2023 with her husband by her side. Sharon was born July 4, 1943 in Grant, Michigan, daughter of the late Melvin and Elsie (Draper) Krol.

Sharon graduated from Grant High School in 1962 and married her beloved husband, Willis DeWayne Evans, in 1964. Sharon is survived by her sons, Kevin (Lynn Marie) and Timothy (Sarah). She is also survived by her much loved grandchildren: Brooke, Brandon (Alyson), Brittany, Ephram, Lilly, Noelle, Bailey, Emma, Oliver, and August. In addition, her siblings Roger (Bonnie) Krol and Karen Dubois. In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Gary Dubois.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a devout follower of Jesus and could oftentimes be found volunteering her time at her church, Naubinway Christian Fellowship, and Love In the Name of Christ in Engadine. For many years, Sharon faithfully cleaned the church, created the weekly bulletin, taught “Little Church”, and baked treats for after service. For years, Sharon volunteered at Love, Inc. at a minimum of twice a week, and often more. She enjoyed sorting the clothes, running the cash register, and socializing with all of the customers. Sharon always had a smile on her face, a laugh in her belly, and a kind word to say about everyone.

Sharon had a love for a great cup of coffee and enjoyed quilting, golf, exercising with friends, attending Bible study, blueberry picking, and spending time with family and friends. While residing in Grant, Sharon was employed as an Administrative Assistant at State Farm Insurance Company and, later in life, she worked at King’s Fish Market and the Hiawatha Pro Shop, both of Naubinway.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Naubinway Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. A second Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 3:00 pm in Grant, Michigan where she was born and raised.

It is with great sadness to announce my darling husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ronald Lee Tanner, 76, of Hartland, left this world Thursday morning December 7, 2023, to go home to be with Our Lord and Savior. He was a beloved husband, daddy and two papa. He loved kids and he loved making others laugh.

Following his honorable discharge, Ron was employed as a Tin Smith for General Motors in Ypsilanti for several years until his retirement in 2008.

He loved sports of all kinds and enjoyed participating in games and outdoor activities.
