Rohen Paul Clark

April 29, 2011 – February 13, 2022

Rohen Paul Clark, 10, of Engadine/Newberry, went home to Jesus on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. Though Rohen left this world far too soon, he left this world a better place and is able to continue to live in others as an organ donor through Gift of Life of Michigan.

Rohen was born April 29, 2011, son of John IV and Candice (DeMoines) Labadie and Terry Clark. He was a fifth grade student at Tahquamenon Area Schools in Newberry.  Rohen loved dogs both stuffed and real. He leaves behind his two dogs Daisy and Bo. He enjoyed playing video games, like roulette online, with his brother and friends.  Working on the computers and other electronics was a true passion of his.  His favorite color was green, and most of what he owned was green. Rohen was a kind, caring, and loving kid that wanted everyone he was around to feel happy. He would go out of his way to help someone in need. Rohen lit up the room with his radiating smile, and you couldn’t help but smile with him. He wanted to be a K-9 Handler when he grew up.

Rohen is preceded in death by his grandfather’s Charlie Johnson and James DeMoines, great-grandfather Theodore Smith and uncle T.J. DeMoines.

Survivors include his parents, Candice (John) Labadie of Engadine and Terry Clark of Newberry; brother Allen James Clark of Engadine/Newberry; grandparents Norm (Kelly) Depriester of Onaway, John III (Nan) Labadie of McMillan and Rose (Terry Sack) Clark of Newberry; great-grandparents Jean Smith of Houghton Lake and Nancy Olleges of Gibraltar.

A gathering of family and friends will take place Saturday February 26, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the J.L. DeCook Gymnasium in Newberry.  A memorial service celebrating the life of Rohen will follow at 12:00 noon at the gym with Pastor Nancy Barkat officiating. All are encouraged to wear Rohen’s favorite color, green.

Memorials may be directed to the Luce County Animal Shelter, 7351 County Road 391, Newberry, Michigan 49868 or to the Rohen Clark Scholarship Fund in care of Tahquamenon Area Schools, 700 Newberry Avenue, Newberry, Michigan 49868 in his loving memory.
