After closing to the public on May 10, the Tahquamenon Area Schools Public Library will re-open on Monday, November 4.
Interim Library Director Ross Wine said patrons should expect weekday hours only at the start. The library will be open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and will offer later hours of 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
Much inside the Tahquamenon Area Schools Public Library has changed.
A major change is the new library entrance, which is now much closer to the old high school building.
Additional upgrades include a new layout, new bathrooms, fresh carpet, new lighting, and more. In addition, Wine said the library has acquired “piles of new books” since closing in May.
“We are thrilled to open the new library space to our community, and we hope that the changes are as exciting to you as they are to us,” said Wine, who expressed many thanks to the school for facilitating the renovations
