We made a significant effort to improve several roads this year:

-Improved CR 407 from the Alger County Line easterly for 3 miles with asphalt
-Improved safety of the intersection of CR 410W with CR 407 at Perch Lake (realigned for better visibility)
-New bridge over N Branch of the Two Hearted River on CR 501 (Fisher Bridge)
-Asphalt resurface of CR 403N (Miller Rd) from M-28 to CR 466 (E Victory Way)
-Asphalt widen and resurface of CR 451 (Charles Rd) from CR 428E (N Prison Rd) to CR 466 (E Victory)
-Improved CR 468 from CR 429 to CR 473 with chip seal
-Improved CR 469 with chip seal
-Replaced three culverts under CR 393 (Borgstrom Rd)
-Cleaned ditches and improved drainage on CR 367, CR 436, and CR 463

This is all in addition to our normal summer activities such as roadside mowing, brush and tree cutting, guardrail and sign repair and replacement, blading and patching gravel roads, and patching as needed on our paved roads.

We also provide regular maintenance and small project work for the state highways (M-28, M-117, and M-123) in Luce County such as cleaning ditches, replenishing shoulder gravel, mowing and brushing ditches, tree cutting, and fixing signs, and guardrail, in addition to winter plowing services.

Some projects planned for next year include:

-Resurfacing CR 407 from M-123 to 1 mile west
-Refurbish the railroad crossing on CR 451 (Charles Rd)

We also have one more culvert to replace on CR 393 (Borgstrom Rd) and planning on refreshing the pavement markings on the paved major county roads (CR 98, 135, 405, 407, etc).
