Foster’s Ace Hardware, Newberry oldest continuously operated business, has officially sold to Clouse’s Ace Hardware and the Newberry location is now known as Newberry Ace Hardware.
The Clouse family is originally from Glennie, Michigan, seated in Alcona County. The Clouse Family business, which includes 22 Ace Hardware stores in Michigan, is operated by Byron and Brandon Clouse.
Newberry’s location was opened in 1883 as M.R. Manhard and Co. and was operated by four generations of the Foster family.
