The Eastern Upper Peninsula Transportation Authority is looking for a second part-time driver for the Luce County area.

Currently, Dial-A-Ride is operating with only one driver and is not able to provide transportation for those in a wheelchair. The weekday transport from Newberry to Three Lakes Academy in Curtis is also unavailable right now.

To become a Dial-A-Ride driver, you need to obtain a chauffer’s license, pass a background check, and pass a pre-employment background check. The driver will need to operate a wheelchair lift on the transit van.

Anyone interested in the position can contact the transportation authority at 906-632-2898 or apply at EUPTA.net.
