Firefighters from several townships in Michigan participated in a fire attack victim search and rescue mobile training offered by Oakland Community College.

The realistic training, using live fire, was set up in the parking lot of the Newberry fire hall. The training involved searching for victims in a structure fire, crawling through a room, and climbing a ladder to rescue a victim. The training was funded by the tax collected on the sale of fireworks throughout the State of Michigan and is used for education and training for first responders.
