This Thursday, July 23, begins the 2026 Luce-West Mackinac County Fair, which is set to take place through Sunday, July 26.
There are many events taking place for the fair this year including a Bump and Run scheduled for Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the grandstands, a dance presentation by Peninsula Pointe of Newberry both Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m., and the King and Queen—Prince and Princess pageant on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
The following is a schedule of the events to take place Thursday-Sunday.
Thursday, July 23
Free parking
10 a.m. – fairgrounds open
10 a.m. – 6 p.m. -livestock registration; vendors set up.
12 p.m. – 7 p.m. – entry of general exhibits
4 p.m. – Bump N Run registration (and kids’ registration for the Big Wheel competition)
7 p.m. – Bump N Run kicks off with children’s Big Wheel competition. Note: There will be a $20 fee at the grandstand gate for spectators.
8 p.m. – exhibit building and barns close. Livestock judging.
Friday, July 24
$5/person at gate (under 12 free)
8 a.m. – fairgrounds open
9 a.m. to noon – judging of exhibits, building closed
10 a.m. – 11 p.m. – cook shack opens
10 a.m. to noon small animal judging, building closed
10 a.m. – 8 p.m. – bouncy blow ups and midway activities
12 p.m. – exhibit and small animal barn open
1 p.m. – horse hoof trimming demonstration given by Michael Brown
2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – register for horse speed and action event
4 p.m. – 100 baked potatoes banquet (one per person) free at the Cook Shack
5 p.m. – dance presentation by students of Kim Sanders of Peninsula Pointe
5 p.m. – 6 p.m. – dog show registration
6 p.m. – dog show
6 p.m. – horse speed and action show
8 p.m. – buildings and barns close
8 p.m. to 10 p.m. -music by Denny in the entertainment building/barn
10 p.m. – midnight – adult dance with The Dynamic Duo Band live music in the activity building
Saturday, July 25
$5/person at gate (under 12 free)
8 a.m. fairgrounds open
8 a.m. – 8 p.m. – cook shack open
9 a.m. – 8 p.m. – bouncy blow ups and midway activities
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Archery with Harley Morgan
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Cat in the Hat Story Tent
10 a.m. – 6 p.m. -vendors will be available to sell their wares
12 p.m. – corn on the cob. Robb Pike will prepare an all-you-can-eat treat. ($3/children and $5.00/adult while they last)
1 p.m. Bingo begins in exhibit building with Myrtle Addis
2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Country Kickers Band will play in the activity building
5 p.m. dance presentation by students of Kim Sanders of Peninsula Pointe
6 p.m. pageant begins – $5.00 gate fee for spectators. Following the pageant there will be a youth dance until 10 p.m. with music provided by Paul Lahti.
8 p.m. buildings and barns close.
Sunday, July 26
Free parking
9 a.m. fairgrounds open
10 a.m. – 3 p.m. cook shack open
12 p.m. – 2 p.m. – children’s games (watermelon eating, pie eating, rubber chicken throwing, “high roller” yard dice, bubbles and more)
2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – pick up exhibits, premiums will be paid at this time
4 p.m. – buildings and barns close
