Forest Insurance Agency has donated a cutting-edge TruSpeed SXB Lidar device to the Luce County Sheriff’s Office, enhancing the department’s ability to enforce speed limits and improve traffic safety throughout the county.
The TruSpeed SXB is an advanced laser speed measurement device that uses pinpoint Lidar technology to measure vehicle speeds with remarkable accuracy. Unlike radar systems that scan broader areas, the TruSpeed SXB allows officers to target individual vehicles in dense traffic—making it ideal for precision enforcement.
“This donation equips our deputies with reliable technology to help reduce speeding and keep our roads safer,” said Sheriff Eric Gravelle. “We’re grateful to Forest Insurance Agency for supporting law enforcement and public safety in Luce County.”
Forest Insurance Agency has a long history of supporting local initiatives and believes in contributing to the safety and well-being of the communities it serves.
“Our commitment to community safety goes beyond providing insurance coverage,” said Jason McLaren, a representative of Forest Insurance Agency. “We’re proud to support the Luce County Sheriff’s Office with tools that make a real difference.”
Key features of the TruSpeed SXB:
-Accurate laser speed measurement up to 2,000 feet
-Bluetooth connectivity for data transfer and integration
-Compact, ergonomic, and weather-resistant design
-Ideal for both stationary and moving speed enforcement
The addition of this device reinforces a shared commitment between local business and law enforcement to promote safer driving and reduce speed-related accidents in Luce County.
