As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the healthcare experience for our community, we want to inform you of important updates regarding the Gibson Family Health Clinic. Starting October 14, 2024, construction will begin on the clinic’s existing facility. During this period, the clinic will be temporarily relocated to mobile units to ensure the continuity of care.

Mobile units information:
• Location: All primary care services provided by the Gibson Family Health Clinic will continue without interruption. Patients are advised to go directly to Mobile Unit Building #1, where all clinic services will be provided.
• Hours: The clinic’s hours of operation will remain the same during this period.
• Parking: Designated parking spaces will be available directly in front of the mobile units, with additional parking by the main entrance as usual.

Construction Timeline:
• Move date: The tentative date for the move to the mobile units is October 7, 2024.
• Construction start date: Construction is scheduled to start on October 14, 2024, with an expected completion in one phase. No delays are anticipated at this time.

Patient Access and Flow:
• Accessibility: A ramp has been installed for easy access to Mobile Unit Building #1.
• Signage: Clear signage will be in place to direct patients to the correct mobile unit and entrance. Mobile Unit Building #1 will be marked for patient care services, while Mobile Unit Building #2 will be designated for staff use only.
• Entrance changes: During the construction, the west clinic entrance will be closed. All patients should use the Main Admitting entrance, with access available to the second floor, basement, and eye doctor at Northern Lights Vision Center Newberry.

Impact on services:
• Temporary changes: While all primary care services will continue, registration for Specialty clinic appointments will now take place on the second floor of the GFHC While regular primary care appointments registration will take place in the mobile until building #1.
• Shuttle service: For patients needing laboratory or imaging services at the hospital, a shuttle service will be provided to ensure safe and convenient transport.
