The 21st Annual Newberry Community Buck Pole, sponsored by the American Legion Post 74 of Newberry, took place on Friday, November 15. Twelve whitetail bucks were showcased on the pole. After closing the pole at 7 p.m., awards were given to hunters in different categories. The Legion also held a Swiss steak dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. in the big hall.
