Lifelong resident, Lorna J. McNeill, 74, of Portage Township, died Wednesday morning May 20, 2020 at her residence in the presence of her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda and Jon Perrin, and the care of
North Woods Hospice. Born April 14, 1946 in Newberry, daughter of the late Lorin and Ada (Thayer) Swisher, Lorna married Lawrence McNeill on October 5, 1963 in Germfask. Lorna was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for L.M.A.S. and North Woods Home Health for several years until her retirement. She was a member of the Germfask Lions Club and enjoyed billiards, bowling, fishing, hunting, and mudding around on her ATV. In addition to her parents, Lorna is preceded in death by her husband Larry “Mac” on July 18, 2015 and sister Lois Frisbie. Survivors include her daughter Lucinda (Jon) Perrin of Coopersville; grandchildren Jonathan, Trisha and Tyler Perrin; great-grandchildren Laila, Jackson, Jon and Emma; sister Louise (E.J.) Watson of Curtis; several nieces and nephews; close friends and neighbors Karen (Larry) Obey. Per her request, cremation services were accorded with no public services scheduled.
