Betty Ella Marcott, 86, of Lakefield Township, died Tuesday morning December 17, 2019 at U.P. Health Systems-Marquette.

Born October 8, 1933 in Flynn Township, daughter of the late Whitey and Helen Gorsline (Lawler), Betty married the love of her life, Theodore Marcott, on August 2, 1952 at Whidbey Naval Air Station in Washington.

Together they moved to Lakefield Township in 1975 where they owned and operated T & B Party Store in Helmer. Betty was an active member of the McMillan United Methodist Church and dedicated to her loving family.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her grandson Michael Muxlow and sister Patricia Eschtruth Dickinson.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ted, of Lakefield Township; children Diane (Mike) Muxlow of Brown City, Rick (Denise) Marcott of Lakefield Township and Lesley (Kelly) Marcott of Carleton; six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; brother Gary (Darlene) Gorsline of Brown City.

Friends may call at the Northstar Baptist Church in McMillan on Monday December 23, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Paul Williams officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the McMillan United Methodist Church Fuel Fund or to Northstar Christian Academy in her memory.
